Our Spring Virtual Parent Summit kicked off the Week of the Young Child (WOYC) with 178 parents learning valuable strategies to support their children’s development. Parents gained insights into early childhood education, effective parenting techniques, and ways to foster a nurturing environment at home.
Throughout the week, volunteers, families, special guests, AVANCE’s advisory board members, leadership, and staff joined forces to celebrate our young learners.
The children sang their favorite songs, danced to lively music, and created their own instruments. They harvested fruits and vegetables from the center’s gardens, gaining hands-on experience in gardening. They made beautiful art projects and participated in fun science experiments.
Families came together on the last day of the week-long celebration for fun activities, strengthening bonds, and celebrating their unique connections. Most importantly, the children felt love and support from everyone around them.
It was a heartwarming and joyous celebration that truly highlighted the importance of community and the incredible potential of our young ones.
